How a match works

1. Get a prompt

The storyteller gets a prompt like “Which snack would I defend forever?” and writes one true answer plus two plausible fakes.

2. Try to fool them

The detective sees only the prompt and three equally styled answers — never which one is true. They can ask one short question before guessing.

3. Guess — and maybe bet your certainty

A correct guess scores 2 points; a wrong guess scores the storyteller 2. Once per match you can play an “I’m certain” token to double the stakes to 4. Six rounds, highest score wins. A tie is a draw.

What’s in the game

Sharing results

Result cards show the logo, the score, and a playful line. Personal answers are left off by default. A card that includes personal text needs approval from both players for that exact card before it can be exported — and once an image has been exported, it cannot be recalled. Sharing always uses your device’s share sheet; Love Bluff never posts for you.

Safety built in

Report and block controls are reachable in the game, unpairing is instant and ends shared access, and sensitive prompt categories can be excluded by either partner. See our Community Standards.
